As a frequent contributor to the Kent, OH-based zine "All Teeth," I decided to do a two-part photo essay on graffiti in Chicago. Part one involved finding the graffiti spots and capturing images that would look good in both color and black & white. Parameters were set upon me (like all of the graffiti is to be found along the elevated train tracks) and once the photos were chosen I created the design/layout for the story.
The map of the Chicago L-train system was redesigned specifically for this story. The article appeared in the printed 'zine as black & white, but a color option can be found online.
